Cleaning, Repairing and Restoring Clothing Leather
Clothing leather differs from both furniture and automotive leather in many ways.
There are many types of leathers used for clothing with a much larger proportion of suede and nubuck leather being used.
The leathers are lighter (in weight) and generally have synthetic linings to make cleaning that little more difficult.
Common problems with clothing leathers are soiling around the collar, cigarette burns and scuffs and tears.
Generally, most cleaning can be achieved by yourself, just look for the leather type and follow the problem solver. Once you have established the correct cure, simply order the cleaning products you require from our secure server.
Scuffs and tears need the experience of a qualified leather restorer, but unlike furniture or automotive leathers, clothing can be sent directly to Care 4 Leather, thus removing expensive call out fees.
Not sure, Ask an expert
If your clothing is less than three months old and your leather is faulty, the stitching coming undone, the leather is cracking or the surface coating is starting to peel away from the leather, please consult your retailer to have the fault corrected.
